Summary

Vers l'auto-adaptabilité des architectures logicielles dans les environnements ouverts distribués. Jérémy Dubus and Philippe Merle. In Proceedings of the 1ère Conférence Francophone sur les Architectures Logicielles (CAL'06), pages 13-29, Nantes, France, September 2006.

Abstract

From single computers interconnected through a network, applications deployment targets are now grid computing or ubiquitous environments. Those targets are strongly subject to variations in NUMBER of machines, and available resources: these are open environments. We want a constructive approach to be usable for the design and deployment of distributed systems on open environments. Nevertheless, existing architecture languages dont take in consideration such environments. Our proposition to fill this gap is a rule-based reconfiguration system. This system reifies the architecture and, in response to a dynamic event, execute an adequate reconfiguration on the reified architecture or the deployed system. Thus, this approach allows the architecture to react to external events.
